Take Time to Enjoy Family

Take Time to Enjoy Family

Gone are the days of leisurely family dinners together every night or long strolls with Mom, Dad, and kiddos in town. Years ago, it was normal to see families doing these things, but in the fast-paced world that we live in now, that seems to be an anomaly. We sometimes call the days of the family dinners, the long strolls “The good old days.”

They very likely may have been. Back then, there were more children who appeared to be more stable because of the familial interactions. While this may be true, it doesn’t mean that we can’t bring those days back. Ok, so we may never have family time to the extent that we once did, but all it takes is for each individual reading this blog to make a decision that you want to bring it back for your family.

Together we can start a revolution! We can call it “The take time to enjoy your family” revolution. You would be surprised what just you making the decision to do that for your family would do to your friends and the people you influence. When they see your family thriving, they are going to want to follow suit!

I’m excited, just dreaming about what that would look like. If families would slow their pace down, make a decision that their family is worth it, then actually start carving out the time to enjoy each other, that would be epic!

I believe the consequences of making that sacrifice to choose family first would be major. Children would feel more loved; there would be more joy in the world, and I truly believe this would lead to more kindness towards our fellow man. Those are huge implications, would you agree?

If you agree, start today, seeing how you can make more time to be with your family. Let it begin with you. I know I am going to be more mindful about spending more time with my family. If you do begin this journey, let us know what you did and how it affected each family member. I know it will go well.
